Privacy notice
Last updated 2 August 2026
This notice explains what Litesum does with the personal information you give us through litesum.com. At this stage the site does one thing: it collects email addresses for the Litesum Enhance early-access list. There are no customer accounts, no payments and no downloads yet.
In short: we store the email address you give us, use it only to send Litesum development updates you asked for, never sell or share it for other organisations’ marketing, and remove it whenever you ask.
Who is responsible
Litesum is an independent software project and is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at privacy@litesum.com.
What we collect and why
| Information | Why we hold it | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | To send the development updates you asked for, and to send the one message that confirms the address is yours. | Consent |
| Intended use, if you choose one | To understand which kinds of work people want Enhance for, so the first release is useful. | Consent |
| Record of your consent | The exact wording you agreed to, the version of that wording, and when you agreed. Kept so we can show the messages were requested. | Legal obligation and legitimate interests |
| Sign-up source and time | To tell genuine sign-ups from automated abuse of the form. | Legitimate interests |
We do not ask for your name, address, telephone number or payment details, and we do not want them. Please do not send them.
What you agreed to
The consent box on the sign-up form reads: “Email me occasional Litesum development updates, testing invitations and launch news. I can unsubscribe at any time.” The box is not ticked for you, and the form cannot be submitted without it.
We use confirmed opt-in. After you sign up we send one email asking you to confirm the address. If you do not confirm, you receive nothing further.
How long we keep it
- Unconfirmed sign-ups are removed within 30 days if the address is never confirmed.
- Confirmed sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe, or until the early-access list is closed after the first public release.
- Consent records for addresses that unsubscribe are kept for up to 24 months so we can show that the messages were requested and when they were stopped.
Who else sees it
Your address is handled by our email delivery provider and our website host, acting on our instructions so the messages can be sent and the site can run. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with other organisations for their own marketing.
Cookies and measurement
This site sets no advertising cookies and carries no third-party advertising or tracking scripts. We count page views and which sections people reach, in a form that does not identify individual visitors, so we can tell whether the page explains the product well.
Your images
Litesum Enhance is still in development and this website does not accept image uploads. When the application is released, its core processing is being designed to run on your own computer. Any optional cloud processing will be clearly identified before an image is uploaded, and customer images will not be used to train our models. See the local-processing section for how that is being built.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can withdraw consent at any time, which for this list means unsubscribing.
- Every email we send contains a working unsubscribe link.
- You can also email privacy@litesum.com and ask us to remove you.
We aim to answer within a few days and will always respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes in a way that affects how we use your address, we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell the list by email.
