Litesum Enhance

Installing Litesum Enhance

Applies to Litesum Enhance for Windows. Source updated 18 September 2026.

What you need

Operating system Windows 10 version 1809 or later, or Windows 11. 64-bit.
Disk space 1 GB for the application, plus room for the images you make. A 4× enlargement of a 12-megapixel photograph is around 200 MB as a PNG.
Memory 8 GB is enough for 2× work and for 4× on smaller images. 16 GB if you enlarge full-size camera files by 4×. Litesum Enhance measures the memory you actually have free and tells you before it starts a job it cannot finish.
Graphics Any DirectX 12 graphics card — NVIDIA, AMD or Intel. Without one it falls back to the processor, which works but is roughly twenty times slower.
Internet For the download and to sign in. Not for enhancing images.

macOS and Linux builds are produced but have never been run on real hardware. They are not supported yet and are not offered for download.

Installing

  1. Download Litesum.Enhance.Setup.exe (about 790 MB).
  2. Run it. It installs to your own user folder, so it does not ask for administrator permission.
  3. It takes a few seconds. Every file is checked as it is written.

Everything is in that one file: the application, the AI models, the graphics runtime and the .NET runtime. Nothing is downloaded afterwards. If the installer finishes, Litesum Enhance works — including on a computer that never goes online again. That includes face recovery, which is why the download is large: the two face models are around 450 MB of it on their own, and we would rather hand you a big file once than have a feature that cannot start until it has been online.

Windows may warn that the publisher is not recognised. That is because the installer is not yet code-signed; a certificate is being obtained. Until then you can check what you downloaded against the SHA-256 published beside it.

Installing somewhere else

Litesum.Enhance.Setup.exe --install-root "D:\Programs\Litesum Enhance"

Signing in

Open the Litesum Launcher and sign in there. The Launcher activates the computer once; Litesum Enhance and every other Litesum application then share that activation. Your subscription covers two computers.

Once activated, Litesum Enhance keeps working offline for about a week between checks. Connect to the internet occasionally and it renews quietly in the background.

Uninstalling

Settings → Apps → Litesum Enhance → Uninstall, as with any other program.

It removes the application, its models, the Start-menu shortcut and the Add/Remove Programs entry. Close Litesum Enhance first — the uninstaller will refuse to start if it is running, rather than half-removing it.

Your settings and saved presets are kept, so reinstalling picks up where you left off. To remove those as well, run the original installer with:

Litesum.Enhance.Setup.exe --uninstall --remove-settings

Your images are never touched under any option. Litesum Enhance does not know where they are and has no business deleting them. It has never modified an original file at any point — enhanced results are always written as new files.
