Getting started
Which computers are supported?
Last reviewed 18 September 2026.
Short answer: Windows, 64-bit. Windows 10 or later for Enhance and Web; Windows 11 for Motion; Photo and Library have not yet established a minimum version on a machine somebody tried, so none is claimed for them. macOS and Linux are intended but no build for either has been run on real hardware, so neither is offered.
Per application
- Enhance: Windows 10 version 1809 or later. Any DirectX 12 graphics card; without one it runs on the processor, roughly twenty times slower. 8 GB of memory for 2× work, 16 GB for 4× on full-size camera files. Details in Installing Litesum Enhance.
- Photo: Windows, 64-bit; the minimum version is not yet established, so none is claimed. A graphics card is not required: Vulkan is used where the machine has it, and a machine without usable Vulkan gets the processor backend and a working editor, with identical results. Windows on ARM is not in this version.
- Motion: Windows 11 only — it has never been run on Windows 10, so that is not claimed. A Vulkan 1.2 graphics card; the render graph has a processor fallback, so it runs without a Vulkan Video capable card, but then decodes in software and cannot encode H.264 or HEVC.
- Web: Windows 10 or later. A Vulkan 1.2 graphics card or the processor fallback.
- Library: Windows, 64-bit, and no graphics card requirement — it deliberately uses no GPU. The minimum Windows version is a support decision not yet taken, so no older version is claimed.
- Publisher: no code yet, so no requirements yet.
Not supported
macOS, Linux, Windows on ARM, and 32-bit Windows. A platform appears on the download page only once a build for it has been tested.
